I write profiles and features for publications like Outside, GQ, Alpinist, the Seattle Times, Vice, and Mashable. I’ve written about things like how to sell your kidney of Facebook in the Balkans (not that hard) and how to build a pot farm from scratch (harder). I’ve profiled people who are well-known and those you should know about. Most recently, I wrote about an avalanche in India that killed 29 people. I was the assistant editor for a 2019 issue of Alpinist.
I like to tell important stories across mediums.
FILMMAKING
I’m a filmmaker, producer, and editor working on everything from documentaries to commercials. I co-directed Outside Magazine’s first documentary (Sacred Strides), and my work has screened at festivals around the world from Telluride to Tribeca to VIMFF. While working in house at Talweg Creative I helped bring visions to life, producing dozens of films and commercials for YETI, RAM, REI, Outside, and the New Mexico Tourism Department.
